Gold is where we belong. When we were first made, that was the intention. We started at Gold, and if you are truly on God's side now, as a follower, he considers us as one of his own childern, and we will end at Gold. Heaven is where we belong; that is our citizenship. Heaven - where there are streets of gold (yes, like the Creed song) and pearl gates and where there is no sadness nor suffering. IT IS A GREAT PLACE (surely beats that other option 'hell')!!! Because of Christ's sacrifice, God welcomes us into heaven with arms wide open (yes, like the Creed song). When we die and finish this life on earth, we will be transformed into new bodies and live in heaven forever and ever with God. The first person to demsontrate this awesome promise was Jesus himself. After he died on the cross, he came back to life three days later!!! And you thought you were gonna visit his grave on your next field trip! I guess you can still go there, but there would be no body there, the tomb is empty! Jesus rose from the dead and he hung around on earth for a few weeks with his old pals, then he went back up to heaven, to be with his father, God, where he belongs. And it is where we belong too, us Christians, followers of God. We will see Jesus again, but not yet.....not yet....(yes, that is taken from "Gladiator"). There is much work to be done here on earth, but when God is calling our name and it's time for us "to go", WOOHOO! have no fear, you'll be in for a real treat!
